Great stuff Simon and many congratulations on Compleating. I must admit I admire the determination and commitment you guys who live South of the Border who Compleat, it's a hard enough task living on the doorstep but the distance and planning for you and those like you is to be admired. The Strathcarron hotel has really picked up since the present owners have taken it on board, it used to be a bit of a dump. Now excellent fair, I think you deserved that slice of cheesecake, did you not go back for another slice, think I might have done.

Oh so glad you got finished - a thousand well dones and you are now free to explore the hills in any way you see fit - freedom hurrah. 8)
Wouldn't catch me doing it all on day trips though - you miss so much when you are just visiting instead of immersing yourself in the joy of it all :D
Took me a similar amount of time - Started 18th August 2010, finished 21 June 2015 - although I didn't do Seana Bhraigh again after climbing it a half dozen times in the 90's - seems to be the regular time for folk wi jobs

That was a big day for you!

Thank you, David.

Cheers, Rod...

I did go back, but for a bit of the single malt stuff.

Thanks Seana. I have done wild camping in England and Wales, and do see the appeal. It might have been more tempting in Scotland had I lived there, and been able to set off at shorter notice with a good forecast.

Yes that's fast going - congratulations. I've been 59 years and 11 months and still have one to do
For these two, I had an vening meal at the Lochcarron hotel and then walked to the Bearnish Bothy - cut down the length of the next day a bit

Thanks, pmsbd. There are some great view from Sgurr a' Mhaoraich, so it's worth saving for a fine day.

Thank you HnP. I'm already hatching plans for Arran, Wales and the Southern Uplands. Not to mention returns to my regular English haunts, the Lakes and Dales.

Cheers, MM.

You were ahead of me there; I couldn't have put a name to Ben Cruachan when I first photographed it from Aonach Mor three days later, whereas I'm sure you had heard of the Cairngorms.

Many congratulations, Simon, and a great couple of hills on which to finish
Have enjoyed reading your reports since your first Scottish one on Seana Bhraigh - you've certainly got the planning down to a T having to travel so much further than many of us
Will be looking out for you on the corbetts  - cheers :)

Many congrats from me as well :D :D and what a trek to compleat the M's! :D :D

Still to do this duo and maybe because it's just around the corner from Beauly, we always save it for another day (possibly with better weather, when it's dry, blah blah...) I might just as well save it for my last

Thanks, rockhopper. That day on Seana Bhraigh was one which really got me looking forward to what was ahead. Your own reports were always an inspiration, especially the one from Skye.

Thank you, BP. These two were on the agenda when I stayed near Beauly in May, but that turned out to be an ideal time for the Torridons. In the end, it was a great walk to finish with. I hope you enjoy this duo when you get to them.
