We combined these two walks, the Allt na Calliche Trail & the River Garry, starting at the Forestry Commission Glengarry Car Park (Ciste Dubh) and followed the Allt na Calliche trail South on the West side of the river to the waterfalls on a day with some blue sky and some short rain showers. The track alongside the river is a good one with many tall straight pines.

The main fall is worth a visit although, surprisingly, was not very full despite the rainfall.
Just before re-joining at the end of the loop on this track we diverted 100 yards or so to the East and joined up with the River Garry walk heading Eastwards on the South side of the river. We looked for a path heading from the minor road to the riverside but decided that there was nothing obvious. As CambridgeCarrie pointed out on 1/7/2016 there is not really a path on the riverside here. Further on we turned left through an old iron gate to head straight for the footbridge over to Invergarry. We then turned left again immediately after the bridge and found a spot to sit at the riverside for lunch in the sunshine.

The breeze kept the midges away, and we then continued on the easy path back to the start. A very pleasant walk.
