Lagging behind with my WR's, this one is from last month. Stayed at Wee Campsite at Loch Carron. Hoped to do lots of stuff but this turned out to be our best day of the week due to subsequent bad weather.

Had been wanting to do these two for some time and they didn't disappoint. It was a highly enjoyable walk with lots of interest and superb views (which really deserve a better day than we had). Not much else to say really! :o

Really nice hills around there, dav. It's worth climbing the Munros just to see the Corbetts.

Definitely a place I'll be returning to, got a few glimpses when I was there but weather was appalling :?

You've got some cracking photies there :D I can never get over how big everything is in that area...makes you feel so small. And lucky!

The last photo is a cracker :D

We climbed Sgorr Ruadh by accident once... We set off to do Fuar Tholl in winter conditions, but the cloud was low, we missed the turn off for the Corbett and somehow wandered to the summit of Ruadh

I know what you mean Simon; some of the Corbetts around there - Fuar Tholl, An Ruadh-stac, Beinn Damh, - are more impressive than the Munros!
Will it be the Corbetts next for you I wonder? :D

Thanks Jaxter :D Yes the whole Torridon area is just fantastic isn't it? You're right about it making you feel small! Definitely worth saving these ones for good weather. It was a shame the clag never really lifted off Liathach etc that day :?

Thanks BP :D I just love the idea of climbing Sgorr Ruadh by accident  I'd really like to visit these hills in winter.
Fuar Tholl looks a very worthy objective in its own right - makes me wish we'd tagged it on to our round actually :?

Great area, enjoyed your report and photos. We did Sgorr Rhuadh in winter and you have wetted my appetite to go back soon.

Thanks Silverhill. There were quite a few Munros we had planned for this trip and never got round to! I look forward to reading your report when you do get round to these. :D
