Standard route to Lochnagar as a single Munro from Glen Muick car park.

I was a little concerned in advance about how steep "The Ladder" might be. It turned out to be (as I'd read) a super piece of path engineering. Near the bottom, we lost sight of the path in the large slabby rocks. However after a quick hunt around, a quite obvious set of large rocks made for a staircase through what would otherwise be a boulder field. Sneaky and clever! Coming down, the route is very obvious and very quick.

Great walk with decent paths on the hills and some amazing views.
