The weather forecast for the weekend looked dire meaning a trip up north wasn't on the cards, as I'd managed to get out quite a lot over the past few months I felt that I needed to do something to maintain the level of fitness I'd attained, so decided to climb my local 'training' hill Goat Fell..........twice.

1.jpg
Started of as usual from Corrie at 8:30am

3.jpg
The weather was terrible for both climbs so kept the waterproofs on the whole time, unfortunately the same couldn't be said for some of the other walkers I came across (children in jeans and hoodies)

2.jpg
The cloud level for both ascents was at 800m

4.jpg
Reached the summit at 10:10am

5.jpg
Quickly returned to Corrie and had lunch at the shore before starting my second (easier) ascent at 12pm.

6.jpg
I reached the summit again at 1:30pm

It was by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever done but gave me some good training for the big days up North, plus it still meant I could have time for a pint in the Ormidale Bar and catch the 16:40 ferry home

Goat Fell ascents No 35 + 36 for me
