First hills in a while and Blake my 6 month old yellow Labradors, first Munros.

I woke up at half past 5 and drove to the Bridge of Orchy car park, arriving about half past 7. I set off with Bella and Blake (the dogs) and crossed the road heading up the West Highland Way, under the railway station and taking a left hand path heading up towards the Bealach between these 2 hills.

The path is eroded throughout and very easy to follow. Before the Bealach the ground gets a little wet and boggy but nothing to worry about.

I was on the bealach at half past 8 and headed North u towards Beinn an Dothaidh first. following a distinct path at first until reaching boggy ground, I then made my way towards the Eastern summit looking at the views over the other 2 Bridge of Orchy hills then retracing my steps to the bealach.

I then followed a distinct path up towards the ridge of Beinn Dorain. This was straight forward and easy walking, both dogs loving their big walk. I passed the false summit cairn and headed South towards the true summit. The cloud was down so there was no views unfortunately. I will need to return to see the railway loop on a clear day.

I made my way back to the bealach before returning back to the car. Finishing about half past 11.

A great day back in the hills and Blake loved his first hill day of many more to come.
