Dry, warm day. Best forecast for afternoon so approx 1200 start. Car park rammed where midges bad. Once walking, not a problem.

Lesson learnt from Arrochar Alps in June, plenty of fluids carried. But streams available in corrie up to TnG.

Busy (2 or 3 parties) on plateau and TnG summit. Little wind, warm, bit of haze, views still magnificent, esp. of Western Isles.

Possibly walked past Lord Wallace of Tankerness (former Lib Dem MP Jim Wallace) on way to Sgurr Mor. Stared at him.

Father and daughter ahead of me on SG. Left summit first for Horns but let them overtake as couldn't see route at start of scramble. Short section of all-fours scrambling, dicey in winter. Soon straightforward.

Pleasant descent, refilled water, back at midge-free car park for 1815.

Excellent day.
