Was fishing up in Galloway this weekend so found time for a short morning walk up a Galloway Graham before starting.

Very murky weather - although the rain held off on the whole.

Pretty pathless and rough after leaving the forest trails and went wrong on the way down, hitting the track much lower down than planned. Followed my nose to rectify the situation but a warning not to rely solely on printed out versions of maps!

There is a small car park along a rough track near Black Loch.

It's good forest roads to begin with.

Millfore should be in view from here but is under heavy cloud.

4 Rough walking.JPG
I left the track between Poultrybuie Hill and Kirkloch.

Initially there is a bit of a track to follow but it's not clear and easy to lose. Going up isn't a problem as you just aim for high ground but going down is a different issue!

Trig Point and Summit of Millfore - reached perhaps more by luck than chance. Good views here usually I hear but nothing today.

After coming off the hill too much to the East, I eventually ended up back on the track and followed my nose back.
