After our betrayal of the dogs a week ago, by going up Bidean nam Bian without them, another walk was a priority and the Brothers have been on the radar for a couple of years, but fate always prevented a trip. No such problem today, we headed south, complete with a bike to leave at the Clunie Inn and headed for the start below Bealach an Lapain. It is a case of no walk in, get out of the car and start walking up until the bealach is reached. Stunning views of Glen Shiel open up as height is gained, the stars being the sisters and the saddle.
Once at the bealach turn right and follow the path. There are one or two places where the path is very narrow and exposed but nothing too challenging. The spur out to the summit of Sgurr a'Bhealaich Dheirg is interesting - but why the dry stane dyke? We followed the full ridge off, rather than take any short cuts down to the road - mainly because it was a lovely day and we had plenty of time. The route lived up to my expectations and some, B&B had a great time and the sisters are pure temptation
