This was to be something of a bonus as I managed to sweet talk the missus to attempt a wee Graham rather than a flat low level wander. As we were based in Carrbridge the nearest hill ti fit the bill was Carn Glas-choire a Corbett passed by those undertaking The Nairnshire Challenge an annual run cycle event held by the local Nairn Round Table. The start is on the B9007 on the way to Forres and only about one mile from the A938 junction

It poses the question at this point why don't the estates or their well heeled guests never think about picking up used cartridges instead of leaving them strewn about all over the place. I consider it litter and it annoys me as much as seeing rubbish lying about, any thoughts on the matter?

Looks a nice day. Did this one last year but never got round to writing it up. A dog attached itself to us from the farm and refused to go back. Never did find out if it got home or not!

Had this on the short list for our previous holiday in Coylumbridge but just didn't get round to it - was thinking about taking a bike. Looked a great day for it - must keep it in mind for the next time - cheers :)

Hi rockhopper a MB would be just fine on that track and save a fair bit of time especially on the return journey. From the track to the summit only about 15 to 20mins.

Hi Rod - looks like a nice little wander this - might look to combine it with something else local to make the journey up worthwhile.

Sounds a good idea, think you would like this one, track most of the way a fine wee leg stretch, but not worth a full day for you.

Looking at your photos this one has a sense of remoteness which I always enjoy, always good to sneak in an extra hill walk :)

My fat folding e-bike still required a bit of push assist at a couple of steeper sections. The track has had maintenance work done and is a bit stoney in places, not a problem with 4" fat tyres and suspension. I left my bike at the col where the ATV track heads off to the summit and I did notice tyre tracks in the peaty sections so someone has biked to the summit.
