Rather unspectacular walk today.
Parked up just after the sign for Meall Ghaordaich and left about 0735.
The weather was for rain and wind this afternoon so thought I'd do this early.
Went through the 2 gates then over the stile and followed the path to the wee cairn where I headed left and up.
Boggy all the way to almost the summit where there are some stone slabs and a few crags en route.
Reached the summit and could see nothing as the mist was down. The wind started to pick up a bit as well, but it didnt blow the mist away.
Sat in the shelter and had a coffee and rolls.
Not much to hang around for so I headed back down the same route.
Met one other on his way up. I hope that wind didn't get any worse for him as he went higher.
Back at the car in just over 3 1/2 hours.
Highlights of the day. One grouse, 3 deer and a good shelter with trig point.
Cap doffed Meall Ghaordaidh
Cheers
Warning : some of those peat bogs on this route are quite deep. Stay away !!
