Left the home at 4 for 3 days in the cairngorms. 3 1/2hrs later parked at the Spittal of glenmuick car park. Paid the 4 quid and set off at 8. Quick look round the visitors centre and then hit the trail. Up to the cairn and headed left up the staircase. Dissappointed in a way as I was hoping for good views of the corrie but the mist ruined that. Hey ho, I'll come back. Picture of the view indicator and trig point then on to no.2. Good views of the wee lochan and corrie at the stuc.
No.2 munro up on the plateau - hmmph !!!
Well what can you say!!!
On again on the path round and over the wee stream to the wee tiny cairn letting you know to head up to no.3.
2 cairns on the summit so I visited both, one of them with some few old metal fencepost sticking out.
Good view across to Cairn bannoch from here.
Saw one other lady up here who just bypassed the summit totally and carried on. Hello to you if you're on here!!
On to broad cairn and the mountain hares running about. Like small cheetahs when they set off. Fantastic views all round from here and down to loch muick.
Time to head down to the wee Hut. Decision time, go along the top path or head down. I headed down to the loch on the wee path . Over the stream then onto the track back.
Must have been a bus turned up as there were a fair few now on this track.
Cairn bannoch and broad cairn made up for the lack of views earlier. It was windy though all day- very.
Cap doffed to the mountains
Cheers
