Beinn Mhanach in the distant sunshine.

I have been wanting to do this one for a long time but always thought taking my bike up the glen would make it a more enjoyable day. My bike is not an off road bike but it managed fine, the gradient meant that even an occasional cyclist like me could manage most of the way along the track. Once at the head of the glen just before the track starts its decent to Loch Lyon I left the bike and started up the grass expanse.

The summit coming closer.

I found this bit hard going and pretty unrelenting. But I eventually made the top and enjoyed great views all round.

On top at last.

I headed down again stopping half way for lunch. Then it was off again until I got to the bike the ride back was great I could enjoy the lovely glen without getting sore feet.

The river crossing were easy with the water being low.
