Watched the vid from the drone and this looked a great wslk. Kept an eye on the weather and today it looked good.
Parked at the info centre and left at 0740.
Over the fence by the school and then a steep slog up to beinn bann and sgorr bann. Once over the fences a path is reached though- thankfully
Then the day got better and better. Great views north and east.
Bit of cloud coming and going. Great steady walk up to Sgorr Dhearg and a 10 minute photo shoot and fleece on and thin gloves ( planning ahead ).
On down to the beallach and clocked the descent route beside some old fence posts and fence.
On up and I could see the little bit of ledge.
Looked daunting so over the rocks and a wee bit of a scramble to the summit it was.
I could see the 2 lads I passed earlier heading down from the beallach. Go back and do sgorr dhonuill - it's enjoyable and great views.
Time to head down and the climb down was tougher than going up (I'm no climber) so I made my way onto the bit of ledge and went round this. Wasn't too far and was no problem.
Headed down and followed the old fence line for a bit till it reached the newer path through the forest. A lot of stone pitching, so cheers to whoever did this. Nice path through the forest until it reaches the good track and onto the main road.
Nice WW1 memorial on the way back to the village and I paid a visit to the murder cairn and hangman's one as well before heading back through glencoe and home.
Cap doffed to Sgorr Dhearg and Sgorr dhonuill.
Impressed.
Cheers.
