A pleasant walk with 3 lads from Castlebrae, Auchterarder: Kenny 1, Kenny 2 (both PSNI) Stevie (Scotland). From car park north of Moulin a very nice walk through woodland onto the moors which gently climbs to small reservoir.

On the way

Here we had a quick drink a bit to eat and a kit check before starting a more serious climb to the top. By now Stevie was puffing and making use of Kenny 1's walking poles.

On the way up

Kenny 2 was going like a steam train and producing only slightly less moisture in doing so! The result was a nicely paced amble to the significant cairn and trig point.

and up....

Sadly the views deteriorated just as we arrived but had been special on the way up.

and stop, but looking a tad sad in my trackies!

The bell of stags sounded all the more eerie in the mist, lending its self to the beauty of the area.
Return journey was uneventful and in the same footsteps as we were pressed for time - pint before evening meal in Crieff!
Thanks chaps.
