Yep, some really spectacular views there - I especially like the one entitled "Another Glencoe view" - terrific!

Weren't you tempted to do a ridge route round the loch, taking in Meall Bhuide and Meall Cruinn? At the speed you walk it looks doable on a winter's day without too much snow, and the distance not too much longer than the 2 up and downs you did.... :)

Exactly what I was about to suggest! I hate out-and-back routes with a passion so definitely the solution for me I think

Exactly, I was thinking to do the circle around the Loch looking on the map before the trip, but then it was big difference to walk in the boggs in the time. Would be nice and quick circle, but not in the time as it was very boggy, wet everywhere outside the path...snow melted and some rain showers made the difference so I decided just return the route that day and save the time which I needed. Sometimes even a shortcut may be finally longer ( by time ) The distance is not too much longer around, but the time would be problem for me as I must be back home early during week days, can't leave my daughter Cheyenne alone...Time is my limitation in week days, can just afford longer trips on weekends...but mostly I'm working on weekends :( So very early starts are not just my pleasure and advantage of sunrise etc., but also necessary sometimes as a solution   :D Forecast makes the timing sometimes too to get higher chance of views...foggy early morning and rain showers afternoon made the borders that day, but at least the views - it was the reward for my wet boots and socks

Definitely an option, but not for me that day with my time limitation and the wet conditions

Thank you James :) At least the snow would be clearer than the boggs...I missed the snow...disappeared so quickly in the last a few days :( Dry and accessible road was the plus :D

Lucky with the timing, it was in clag on the beginning...and then rain showers when finished back in the car park :D
