Excellent weather forecast from the MET office - full sun, little wind, no cloud, <5% chance of precipitation. Didn't work out that way in the western highlands - solid low cloud, cold wind at the summit, no sun other than a very thin band on the horizon. Set off in the dark with headtorch aiming to be high for the sunrise which didn't materialise. Ah well, you win some, you lose some. On the way down, met two other WHers (one of whom was "Craig") - stopped for a chat with them. Back home in time for lunch.
