Started late, only up to the shoulder of Beinn Pharlagain in variable weather, mostly dry, temperature a bit above freezing.
The track has been completely rebuilt as far as the (new, upstream at the old ford) bridge to handle construction traffic for a new hydro power station on the W. side of Allt Eigheach. It's very well made but even with pretty heavy boots it was a bit uncomfortable walking by the time we got back as the granite aggregate used is quite large.
It looks like the track up the W. side of Allt Eigheach from there has been improved and extended as well, as has the Road to the Isles track heading W from there. We followed the advice at Stage 2 and had no trouble following the ATV track up to the entry to the valley between Sron Leachd a Chaorainn and Beinn Pharlagain.
