Crappich Hill, near Comrie

"I can't believe this isn't on Walkhighlands" was our comment as we finished this walk. It was such a great walk, with lots of wildlife - several deer and red kites. The paths were double-track, although the final kilometre or so towards the top was a narrow single-track path through the heather. On this section there were several craggy bits with easy scrambling, which also held our interest. Views were absolutely superb. Can't recommend it enough. posting.php?mode=post&f=9#

I agree - there are many lovely hills like this in the Loch Earn / Comrie / Ardeonaig / Killin area that barely get visited. They can be a real off-path heather bash in season - but lovely places.

Yip, a good little area for a wander.
I try to head up there at least once a year, starting off in Comrie then taking your route to Crappich Hill then heading on toward St Fillans or over towards Loch Lednock.

Went up it yesterday (15/05/21), saw a couple of golden eagles several deer and the African visitor. Though unlike on Skye and the Outer Isles much more difficult to spot but not hear...cuckoo... Jings we can't expect Walk Highlands to write up about every nook and crannie. Brilliant though they are, they are a guide to enable us to use our own imagination in finding lovely wee hills such as non - Crappich Hill.
