Car probs at the start point- sorted ish. Wasn't being put off with this as I had sgor na ulaidh to do today. After pfaffing around with the car I set off about 9.
Great to be back over Glencoe again.
Followed the land rover track down to where the cottages are and then there's a detour through a field. Give them their due, they've placed quite a few sleepers and rocks along the makeshift path.
Not many other's would do this.
Back on the track then a path which runs out as sgor na h-ulaidh comes into view and my does it look impressive with the " little notch " cut out of it.
I had made up my mind not to do meall lichte so it was pick a point on the skyline time and head up the steep slope towards stob an fhuarain - and it is steep. As I neared the ridge line I could hear the wind on the other side.
On up and the fence line was a welcome sight and it was hold onto your hat time.
Saw a lad on the summit who had left a minute or so before me and his route was to the beallach between meall lichte and sgor na h-ulaidh.
Don't think it was any quicker going that way, distance wise - I think he was just fitter than me. :D
Down the rocks and up the rocks to the summit where I spoke to the lad. He hadn't included the corbet; meall lichte he said. Wind again!!
Up to the summit and had a wee look down the wee notch you see on the way up. Impressive but I wasn't going to close.
For wee notch- translate to major gully!!!
Not the biggest of cairns on top but the views today all round were impressive everywhere.
From sgorr dhonuill to the Ben round to bidean to Starav and fhionnlaidh.
Didn't stay too long on the summit due to the wind chill - and being blown about so it was time to head back down and up to the wee top and over this. Down to the next beallach and again pick a way down to the stream- gingerly as it's fairly steep.
Impressed today and enjoyed the walk back along the side of the stream.
Some kind person had even left a stile/ makeshift table at the side of the stream beside a sheep feeder.
Bergan off, coffee and rolls out and look up and admire Aonach Eagach ridge.
Back to the car and a leisurely drive through glencoe and home.

Cap doffed to Sgor na h-ulaidh.
If I had a " I'd do this one again" list it'd be on it.
Cheers.

Sounds like you got a similar day to me for it, although I went up from Glen Etive, so must of been a different route but I guess it is steep from every angle :D The wee notch made a fine wee shelter for me and managed a wee snooze at the top  One of Glen Coes hidden gems for sure..
You didn't find a GPS? Lost mine up the track past the farm a few weeks ago :(

No GPS found - sorry. Put a post up on the "lost and found" forum on here. Hopefully you get it back.

You're right- it is a hidden gem
