After funeral in Inverness on Wednesday stayed on as weather looked good. Unfortunately lack of crampons resticted me to lower hills so went Trig hunting. For Stac Gorm I deliberately ignored the path straight up the ridge and walked along the loch almost to the far end of ridge then took a rising traverse up to the ridge. No difficulties and in places there appeared to be a path but it was possibly a animal route. Once on the ridge there was an obvious path back along to the trig point. Fantastic clear day with lovely views. Took the path back down.
Drove on to Tom Bailgean. Followed the uninspiring track to the summit where the reward was another fine set of views. Met 2 people, one of whom I had already spoken to at the RSPB car park at Loch Ruthven
