The clouds were hanging low over Glencoe
We made our first stop at the waterfall under the bridge. A really nice spot, but just as we parked the car, it started to rain heavily. So we stayed in the car and waited for half an hour until the rain stopped again. We left the car, climbed over the little wall and walked down to the foot of the waterfall. It was in good spate und looked really nice.
We climbed up the little hill next to the waterfall and walked upstream, with great views down into Glencoe. Although the couds were still in the valley, there were glimpses of sunlight as well.
But as the Lost Valley was still our main goal for the day, we walked back to the car and drove on to the car park opposite to the Three Sisters. We started the walk across the River Coe and into the impressive wooded gorge. We reached the waterfall (Yes, I love waterfalls!
) and had great views back into Glencoe. 
Despite a good deal of water in the burn, the necessary crossing was no problem, and so we reached the entrance of the Lost Valley. It is an amazing moment, coming out of the gorge and having the first view into the remarkably flat valley, with the rocks as big houses at the near side and the steep walls surrounding the valley.
We had some good fun, climbing onto the rocks and admiring the views surrouding us, into the valley as well as back towards Glencoe. It was now even warm enough to take off jackets and sweaters.
Well - the warmth did not last too long, as the clouds covered the sun again
After that we walked deeper into the valley, and started the climb up the headwall on the far side. The views back into the flat, pebble-covered valley from higher up were just great, even though it was still fairly grey above us
We were amazed that the headwall was still covered in snow, so deep into June. Living in a very flat area in north west Germany, we are not used to snow so late in the year. We walked up until we reached the first bigger patches of snow. Had some fun with it for the camera
After one last picture of ourselves with the valley in the background, we made our way back to the car, with the feeling of a great first day of our holidays
