Left the house at half 5 and it was just after 8 when I arrived at the sign for Fersit.
Walking by half 8
Along the track by the dam/ loch trieg, and round and up to the wee sheep fold. Headed off the track at this point and made straight for the "wee scrambly bit" that obscures the ridge and Stob a choire mheadhoin. Pole stowed, ice axe out, pole lost!!
Wee scrambly bit it maybe in the summer however today with a lot of snow on it- for me a was a wee bit of challenge.
Up and over safely and then a good long walk over mostly snow to Stob a choire mheadhoin.
Couldn't wait for all the views to the grey corrie's, Nevis and surrounding lochs.

Ah a. Not. No views.

Contemplated going back and coming back another day for eassian. But after a coffee and telling myself it wasn't that far - I headed down to the beallach and steeply up through the snow to the larger cairn on Stob coire easain. Didn't realise it was so close to the edge. Quite a drop over that ridge!
No views again and bumped into a couple of good lads from Larkhall area on the way down to the bealach. Saw a wee cairn there and thought about going down and round but up I went ( thinking to myself- it's going to be a steep descent when I get there)
Views opened a wee bit and got one good view of the ridge up to easain and a couple of good views coming down from mheadhoin.

Kept thinking I've got to go back down meall cian dearg.
And then I was at the edge and down i went,
ice axe at the ready,
my gripping gloves on -
facing the mountain.
Down i went -
gingerly,
taking it easy,
looking for holds,
kicking steps into the snow.

And then I heard it

" oi, get a fkng move on we're waiting"

Looking up it was the 2 lads again offering encouragement :D

Niceties were exchanged again and I waited at the bottom for them and walked back to the car park.
Enjoyed today.
Cheers to all I met up there- 6 in total.

Cap doffed to Stob à Choire Mheadhoin and Stob Coire Easain.
Cheers.
