Best day of the year so far as me and the dog set off for Dhiseig. Parked the car on the grassy makeshift carpark on the sea side of the road and set off for the summit along the road to the house then on to the field up the side of the burn. From here it was up through the next gate onto slightly more boggy ground although if you hugged the side of the small gorge the path was a bit firmer. After a mile or so we crossed the burn on to stage 2 where it became steeper and a little rougher but the path was generally good.
The hill seems to break its self into 4 natural stages and after a wee break halfway through stage 2 we headed to stage 3 (the steepest stage! ) and definitely need to work on the fitness and cardio as I had a couple of stops going up this one
After the steep stage it was a more gentle short walk on to the summit for a wee coffee break at the rocky shelter and remains of the trig point.
After this it was just to make my way back down to the car after of course giving the dog a wee play in what was left of the snow
