Had a great day with Brian and Tom from the UMC. Left the top car park at 9:30 with Brian to get a head start on the rest of the team, met Tom on the climb but stayed ahead of the rest all day.

The day started sunny but slightly windy with the wind easing gradually as the day went on, thankfully.

Summited Am Boddach easily and prepared for the first down scramble which was not as technical as I anticipated.

Scrambling continued on the way to Bienn Dearg, our first Munro where the way forward along and over the pinnacles was revealed. The amount of rambling up and down and round was incredible but immensely enjoyable, especially
in the fine warm weather.

After the pinnacles easy walking got us to Stop Coire Leith and the view to Sgurr nam Fionnaidh. Great views both east and west. We met a lovely couple from Crossford who offered to give us lift back to our cars from the Clachaig.

We initially planned to descend via the col at the pap but decided to go down the scree to the south but ended up on the eroded path down the Clachaig Gully and the books and website guides suggest-not recommended. But with time and great care we descended safely.
