Walkhighlands

With Joyce. Went up from the Drovers Inn and alongside the falls. BE CAREFUL IN PLACES! Took much longer than expected. Slow going - either steep and awkward or flat and boggy. (We had several dry weeks before this trip and I shudder to think how squelchy this rout could normally be!) Also slowed by frequent squally showers, although it was hot and sunny in between those. Consequence - lots of quick changes into and out of waterproofs. Very good viewpoint from the summit, despite cloud ceiling that sat generally just a few hundred feet above the tops. Would be spectacular on an entirely clear, haze-free day. Overall an interesting midge-free trip but we probably won't be back!
