High Camp on the Ring of Steall - Fire Below & Stars Above

Cracking report, and wonderful photos, I still treasure the memory of my day around the Ring of Steall, probably in my all time favourite walks. The summit camp is inspirational, just acquired myself a Laser Comp 1 and will be moving north of the border this summer so I look forward to giving it a go!

You couldn't have picked a better tent - it's worth every £££. I do think the lightweight makes it noisier in any wind (earplugs). Unless you are mad keen on keeping the weight down, invest in some pegs!!! The 1g "twigs" supplied don't last long (I learnt the hard way!)

I know I'm late to the party, but just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed this report. I completed the 4munros last year in similar weather, took my time and loved it - one of my favourite days so far (I've only completed 32munros, but each have been epic to me).

What an epic adventure!! Love your report and the photos. Hoping to do this route in April/May 2020 weather permitting. If we get a day half as good as yours I will be happy! Thank you for taking the time to write the report.

Planning to tackle this in August, first real big day out on the mountains. Only done 2 munros in 1 day so a bit nervous, but really looking forward to it!
