It had been a couple of years since I ventured up the hills. A mix between becoming a dad and a hectic work life had sucked all the passion I had out of me. That was until a friend asked me to accompany him on a hill walk, it was his first time in the mountains.

We chose Beinn Narnain and made our way one winters morning to Arrochar. Unfortunately we arrived a little later than we expected due to stopping at Loch Lomond. As we were driving by the light on the loch stopped us in our tracks, as keen photographers we obliged in snapping a few pics! The rest of the climb followed like this after we got to Arrochar. It just goes to show, that the best views are not always from the summit, I'll let the pics do the talking!

A superb day out.
Just goes to show, despite whatever may be happening in your life, the passion for the hills is always there!
