Yellow warning of torrential rain was forecast for mid afternoon.
So i left at quarter to 5 and parked at Lundie and was walking by 8.
Up past the memorial stone and to the padlocked gate by the transmitter/ not impressed. Over I went and it was a good wee path to the summit of carn ghluasaid. Sunscreen went on twice and it sweated off twice. Felt a bit knackered on the way up today so I stopped for 10 minutes and sat on a boulder. Drink and a piece and took in the views down to the loch
3 cairns so I visited all 3 although the one on the edge looked to be at the highest point.
Took in the views then down round and up to the caurn/ shelter in Sgurr nan conbhairean
Fantastic views all round today.
Quick roll and it was down again heading to sail chaorainn. Half way down i realised I've got to come back up this way. Didn't notice a path heading left for the descent.
Sail chaorainn seemed further away than it actually is from here. Passed 2 lads who mentioned there were good views and it wasn't that far to Carn na coire Mheadhoin.
Took a wee pic of the small cairn on Sail Chaorainn and plodded/ shifted on the next top.
It was in the back of my mind that the rain was en route.
Great views north from up here into affric.
Back to Sail chaorainn then and heading up to Sgurr nan conbhairean again where there is a small cairn by the path leading round Drochaid an tuill easaich. Nice wee lochan on the way round.
I stayed on a kinda make shift path all the way to the stream/ waterfall where I crossed on some boulders. You could probably cut across higher up.
Rather than going along the military road I cut down to the main road and walked along the grass verge to the car.
Quarter past 2 no rain. Weather gods were good to me today.
Driving back along the a87 half an hour later it came and then later on boy did it open up.

Cap doffed to these 3 .
This area is really growing on me.
Cheers.
