Had fantastic weather, sunshine and no clouds in the sky! Around 18-20 degrees, with a light breeze cooling me down during the ascent... On the Landranger OS map it says the two Bla Bheinn summits are 926 + 929 m a.s.l. (if I recall correctly). As I followed the southern route during the ascent (by accident, I was out early in the day and didn't realise I should've taken off at one point to follow the eastern route up on the northern top!), I found myself scrambling my way up onto the southern top, on an almost invisible path. Well on the top, I followed the ridge to ascend the northern summit - although the weather was terrific the ridge was a bit terrifying, I wouldn't recommend walking there with only the basic gear (as I did, hmpf...
) - but I really didn't want to descend down the same invisible path on loose rocks that I had left behind me not long before. On the northern summit, well relaxed, lunch in the form of a bagel and tea was readily taken in along with the astonishing views! Got some great pics and on this day this mountain definitely felt like a very nice choice of activity! I can't wait to have a go at the Cuillin Hills now, to get a look at Bla Bheinn from the other side!
