Corbett only to be done in dry conditions

I'd been camping at the Tyndrum Pine Trees campsite the night before and had intended to pick this wee Corbett off after a reasonable period of dry conditions as I had read various reports that this hill was pretty boggy at the least and much deserved the 4 boot rating given by walkhighlands. An early start was had and when I arrived at the foot of the hill only one car was parked on the South Loch Earn road.

The start of the walk through these entrance gates

Looking over Loch Earn at the start

Passing through the private estate gardens

Turn left up the track there are walkers signposts taking you away from the house

The tree lined avenue prior to entering a field containing sheep and their lambs, dog walkers are requested to keep dogs on lead

On to the open hillside just follow the well made track heading for Ben Vorlich

Where the track splits into two after crossing the burn take the left track the right goes up to Ben Vorlich

Another wee burn crossing our hill is at the rear of the one on the right

Looking back down the glen where I had come, all good track walking so far

Another burn crossing this time by timber bridge

Keep on up the good track

Feint path through the heather wet in places

Now the fun begins with peat hags a plenty, these may become a major problem after wet conditions

Still more hags which are unavoidable the hill in the far distance is our goal

Thanks for the report.
We climbed this by roughly the same route although we avoided the hags completely by staying close to the west side until going over the minor top before the Corbett.
