Parked up at the side of the road next to Ben More farm, and 7am on the dot away we go.
Weather looking reasonable, smile on the faces.
Thought we we would do this back to front from what the route shows on the web site.
There were 3 others guys slightly ahead of us, and they took a different route from when you come of the main track. We all meet at the gulley between Stob Binnein and Ben More.
The cloud started to come in but the breeze made sure it never hung around to long.
A zig zag track lead us to the top of Stob Binnein and the cloud shifted which gave us a chance for some photos (i am still unsure how to attach my photos to my reports).
Just as we were about to start our decent the rain, sleet and even a few snow flakes hit us lasting about 5mins.
Shows you that it can be pleasant down at the loch side, but at the top of a mountain the weather can be unpredictable.
The decent from Stob Binnein was fast.
Then onto Ben More.
I will be honest i could feel my thighs burning by the time we started this one, but my pal is a good motivator and he got me up there.
We could see the cloud coming in from Crianlarich, so we got the customery photos taken at the Trig point and the Cairn and started to look for our route down when the rain started and never stopped till we reached the track at the foot of the hill.
I would say that this felt like the longest decent i have done on my short time climbing. It seemed to go on forever. Every time we hit a target for a quick pit stop the track seemed further away. It was very boggy and hard going.
Even though i felt i struggled a bit today, i can honestly say i'm already looking forward to my next climb.
