Yeah, I gathered there was a track following the burn through the forest after I'd gone well past it and seen a slight path heading towards the gate into the forest by the burn... I also read about it afterwards when I re-read the route in the SMC Munro book. But the Forestry Commission sign was saying there was a path along the top edge of the forest, which definitely wasn't the case!

Adding photos now anyway...
