Route description: Shalloch on Minnoch via the north ridge

The weather today is utter rubbish so the report matches the weather, not a lot to say about this hill apart from out of the four Galloway hills this was my least liked hill, maybe because there were no views available. Rough going underfoot conditions if you do not find the faint path going up the North shoulder over Cairnadloch and then Caeloch Dhu. Very faint path higher up and in these conditions very easily missed. Passed a large rock and a lochan along the way, but remember the trig point is not the actual summit so look around and find the pile of stones shown in photograph about 200 m SE of trig point
