Weather wasn't to be too good today, but I still went out, even after telling myself the other week I wanted to leave these 2 for a good day.

Anyway, parked up and went up the WH ascent route.

Also gladly I read one or two reports last night otherwise that boulder field would have probably given me a shock when I came across it. On up to this tops summit. Map says 963. My gadget says 971. I believe OS.

On down and up and round the Ridge to Beag.

Had about 5 minutes pfaffing around in the mist and rain, but got the cairn in the end. This would be a fantastic walk on a good clear day as the cliffs/ crags were quite close and once or twice I got a wee view of them.

Down and onwards to the larger cairn on Aonach Mor. Wasn't hanging around waiting for the great view of CMD and The Ben to appear.
It'll be there next time I go up ( most probably via the gondola :) )
Headed back and started down what was probably the descent path, but I soon headed back up. Seemed a bit dodgy today so I headed back over Aonach beag.
For those now who haven't been up here before- I descended almost directly south west from Aonach beag. There is a stalkers path which leads you carefully through the crags and doesn't go over the ridge on your right. Further down it Peters out and then it's up to yourself to get down.

Me - I realised I had to get over one those streams on either side of me. Tried the one on the right. Raging torrent today. Went back to the one on the left - the same. Going down you are getting channeled to a point. Had to get over the stream on the left. Had a good look at a 5 ft jump but told myself no. Went down further then back up and finally a boulder I could stand on and only about a 4ft jump ( with 2 people on the wee bridge standing watching me!!)

If it is adverse weather conditions or you're unsure about whether you'd make it over either of the streams- go a different way :D

Looking back up once or twice as I descended I was quite impressed I'd came down this way.

Cap doffed to Aonach beag and mor
