Route description: Calderglen, East Kilbride

Time taken: 3 hours

First walk in new boots...
Mixed terrain, woodland path mainly with some boggy sections on the approach to the old castle grounds and beyond. Steeper areas with steps. Some sections had suffered landslip but easy navigation around :)
The zoo was good - got some good pics of the meerkats.
Verdict on new boots: all good just some ankle/lower calf tightness the next day although thought this was to be expected as new to hillwalking boots.
