Second hill of the day and a VERY short drive from Stac Na Cathaig to get here!

Decided to follow the route of a previous walkhighlander as it didn't seem too tricky! I found the going very hard initially and had to take a few breaks on the way up but kept plodding on. The terrain was quite tricky and on the way back I took a bit more of a straightline route through ferns to get the shortest distance back to the road which I think was the easier way of doing it.

Anyway, a look back not far into the walk provided a good view while I caught my breath.

Decided to head straight up to the bottom of this cliff and walk along it to gain height.

There's a very small fence to step over about halfway up and from there it's an easy enough walk up through ferns and steep heather to get up onto the summit plateau where you are rewarded with excellent 360 degree views.

Loch Ruthven with Stac Gorm at the far left. The crannog is JUST about visible at the right side of the loch in this photo.

Lovely day for it

Really enjoyed my two sub2k hills this morning. They don't get quite as many walk reports as the more well known ones but they are very rewarding in their own right. :D
