This hill had been chosen for the Friday walk at the AMC monthly meet being held at the Bearnock Bunkhouse near Loch Ness. Forecast was dry so we were lucky for once and we hoped to get some summit views as well. After the compulsory wait at the East end of Glen Strathfarrar for the gates to be opened at nine am there was a slow nearly twenty mile drive up the glen to the starting point and car parking area at the dam.

It's nice to see what this hill looks like, Rod. It was on my radar with Bac an Eich when I was in Muir of Ord in March, but conditions meant I didn't bother with either. Hopefully I'll be back one day to see things like you did. It looks like you all had a worthwhile day out.

Hi Simon good timing then I'm in the middle of writing a report for Bac an Eich, like you we thought maybe combine, but decided against it, it would be a hell of a long day. We did it the next day from Strathconon, watch this space. :D

Ah, so that's how it looks like from the dam side  We climbed AS from Strathconnon, much longer but very entertaining walk. And it solves the locked gate problem

This is another much underrated Corbett, possibly because of the gate restrictions... We also considered combining AS with Bac na Eich, especially that it's our home ground, but then we did them separately anyway...

I think that "where have you been" pose is more common than you think... especially on this hill
