Quite a remote and exposed route for the old Drovers who frequented this trail in the old days presumably to avoid the tolls and the brigands in the Drumochter area? The only time that I have been this way was when I first got an all terrain velo in the late eighties and decided to have a go at linking the Feshie, Minigaig/Bruar, Glen Tilt to return via Feshie. I knew from what I had seen walking that I couldn't cycle up from Tromie to the the area of the Corbett so came from The Feshie estate trail....with a bit of pushing to the high point. Interesting remotish area with the Big lumps of quartz marking a great deal of the way. I recall feeling 'done in' after wading the Eidart river which was probably originally the Feshie source before the 'river capture'. Rescued with a couple of mugfulls of sweet tea by two folks camping beside the old hut.....allowing me to have just about enough energy to reach home!

Interesting - I've had this notion for a while now too. One day. :D
