After walking from Echna Loch on the A961 to the entrance of Littlequoy farm, gate locked so did a detour to see if we could find an alternative route, after returning to locked gate we climbed over, no directional arrows and all of the gates around the farm were locked and sign saying no admittance. Met a local who told us that she climbed the gate, so followed her example, this spoilt what was a very interesting walk as we felt as though we were trespassing. We have followed many of the Walkhighland routes and have never had any problems.

Sad to read of the access problem Ola and John; the owner had agreed to provide a signed route around the farm building.

If anyone has a problem like this - i.e. keep out signs, locked gates with no alternative route provided, then it is well worth making a complaint to the council's access officer. In this case the man to contact is Ross Irvine and his email address is available through this page:

Update:
We have amended the Hunda route so that our route goes nowhere near the steading.
