Managed to sneak a bonus day up in Perthshire today and thought id head up Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers....

Forecast was for poor vis but clearing later - turned out to be a blinder of a day!

Up from the visitor centre (which was being demolished by a JCB as i arrived - anyone know whats going on there?) following normal route to Beinn Ghlas and the ben Lawers...dropped off Western shoulder as the clouds lifted getting some great views into the valley and then of Meall Corronaich before heading back through reserve to car...

Couple of photos - when you get a day that suddenly gives you a glimpse of blue skies and dramatic scenery it makes all the hard slog worthwhile - can't put a price on days like that!

Quite often the clouds make mountain photos look more dramatic as they add greater perspective! Provided they aren't so thick that you can't see anything of course!

Nice pics :)

No, but hope they do a proper job on it. It is/was awful.
