I was planning to nip up this hill last month on my return home from Englandshire, but the weather was not very welcoming so I continued home. This time the weather was ideal, my original plan was to pop up Grange Hill near Lockerbie first but a navigational error through lack of proper planning meant I missed a turn off - so I headed for Dungavel instead. Not much one can say about this hill, parking is very limited and the sign on the gate is not exactly welcoming.
The flat part once through the gate was rather boggy, but once the going up commenced the going was better albeit no path.

It was good to get out especially as that was my first outing since Glencoe a couple of weeks ago.
