Mopping up our red balloons this weekend - Am Faochagach first, from Blackbridge. Thought we'd cycle in as far as we could, but that was really just to the Lodge so actually made for a longer route The track marked on the map is really a boggy trail that comes and goes, although we detoured to go over the Sims along the way. Plus it rained pretty much the whole time we were walking - so got back to the van with water running off us, having taken over an hour longer than we'd though it would take [6hrs 7mins, 27.3km, 990m ascent]
Drove round to Coulags anyway, thinking we had the option of leaving this for tomorrow... only it started to clear up So we set off again just after 4pm and caught the sunset on MCD summit Came back down the scree slope in the fading light, then back out with head torches. [5hrs 34mins, 16.5km, 1030m ascent]
