What a lovely piece of writing, and stunning pictures.
I loved your panorama "Beautiful Knoydart".
You have enriched our lives with your tales of adventure, and that finale will certainly inspire me to rouse myself to knock off the remaining 197 ...

Fantastic! A great achievement, and I too have loved following your madder trips, especially those involving inflatable things.

Your description of your emotions on nearing the summit almost had me going too....

The great thing about not organising a party to compleat is that you can have a perfect day like this one. Wonderful stuff and may you and your varying means of water transport continue to delight.

Congratulations Maja, a great acheivement and fantastic reports. I had been following your travels for some weeks and I was away on holiday for 3 weeks and read your leaking mattress story just this week on my return and was fair tickled about the gaffa tape water bottle tip being used here so soon after getting the advice. I must have been meant, how fortuitous.

Really hope to meet you one day, I am sure many feel they have been robbed of a party here but this was all yours and well deserved. It certainly doesnt sound as if it is your last day on the hills which I am sure we are all glad about. Good luck for the future.

Fabulous hill to finish on and wouldn't expect you to tackle it the 'usual' way.

Wonderful achievement, tears of joy and relief entirely justified. The end of a very long journey, but hopefully the beginning of others too.

Ladhar Bheinn's a superb hill and an inspired choice to compleat on. The clag was down when I was up there many years ago, so it's nice to see the views in your photos, some of which are absolute stunners. I'll join the long list of people who've thoroughly enjoyed reading your reports. 8) :D

Dave Hewitt wrote:Well done with the completion, looks like you got a nice day for it. Slightly surprisingly (I think), Ladhar Bheinn is the fourth most popular Munro to finish on.

Can I just check: did you take the prayer flags down with you? From your report it sounds suspiciously like you didn't, but you don't definitively say either way so I'm hoping that you did. Leaving litter - including prayer flags, which have become a bit of a trend in recent years - at summits is something which a lot of people, me included, have strong views about. Taking such things up the hill - however well-intentioned - and then photographing them on top is one thing (albeit not something I'd personally do), but they should definitely come back down in the rucksack. Leave nothing but footprints and all that. Anyway, here's hoping that's exactly what you did and they did come back down with you.

This got me wondering what folks with strong views would think about planting trees out there?
