Another damp start on Skye. Fergus, Lyndsey and myself left the Glen Brittle youth hostel about 8:30 with hopes that the cloud will lift, I was not very optimistic and was questioning whether we should be doing what we were doing.

A heavy shower turned to light rain on the way up to Coire a Ghreadaidh but we continued up the scree to An Dorus.

At the top of the gap a few awkward moves then an easy scramble got us to Sgurr a Mhadaidh in good time and my reservation began to lift, as did the cloud briefly.

A down scramble to the gap, some more awkward moves and we very on our way to Sgurr a Ghreadaidh. A very different proposition. We very carefully made our way across slippy slabs, climbed high steps and made our way around pinnacles eventually reaching the summit.

Although relieved we knew we had to return to An Dorus. This was not as difficult as we had anticipated and our relief grew as we made our way down the scree for a break and a cup of tea.

All that was left was the path back to the hostel and the car, initial doubts totally unfounded and 2 new munro bagged.
