Day 4 and Tolmount and Tom Buidhe are finally on the radar.
Had some foot repairs to attend to after the past few days but nothing too serious that compeed didn't sort out.
Stared at Callater car park and up Jocks road to Loch Callater where a good path leads round the loch and slowly upwards with Tolmount in view.
The Stags were out. There were single ones high on the ridges standing like sentinels all around.
Two big herds of deer on the slopes maybe accounted for that.
Wee pull up to Tolmount and the view across to the White Mounth were superb.
And the wee pudding hill which was next didn't look too far away.
Down and across and up and a path leads to the flat summit of Tom Buidhe.
I had plenty of time today and in no rush so thought I'd visit Carn of Claise and Carn Tuirc again.
Met two gents who I think I burst their bubble.
They were up from down south camping for a few days and taking in some Munros
They had done the lochnagar circuit of 4. I said there were 5. They said 4. I said 5
Maps came out.
" Aw Naw" says them. " Ah well, there not going anywhere. Well head back up some other time"
Good to see a school party of about 30 kids from Edinburgh on Carn an Tuirc as well. They all looked in good spirits and well in to them all.
Headed straight back across the side of the hill to hit the land rover track which leads down the other side of the loch and the long walk out again.
Good day and my wee trip was over.
Probably be next spring before I'm back in The Cairngorm area again, I reckon

Cap doffed to The Cairngorms.
Cheers
