In October break Tuesday looked most promising weather wise particularly in east . Original plan was to do Glas Tulaichen from Spittal of Glenshee but stalking was taking place on our route. So quick search of likely unstalked munroes lead us to Linn of Dee and Beinn Bhreac. So four of us set off at 11.30 to good weather up Gen Lui. Trees looking lovely. About an hour and a half later stopped for lunch past Derry lodge and decided we had time to do the munro before bad weather came in. Headed off up hill in deep Heather which was a bit of a slog- should have stayed on path for longer and found path which was our route down but didn't know that then! Good views all around until near summit. Freezing up there. Neil went on ahead up wrong summit as I had map but realised once no-one joined him. Quick turn around at top due to cold and clouds coming in and found path back to main track. Some rain but not much so all in all a good day. Chippie in Rattray on way home. No 99 completed
