A surprisingly nice pair of Munros for our last days walking. With good/reasonable paths to the top of Ben Vorlich.
- Ben Vorlich summit with Stuc a'Chroin in the background
Good wind-chill again on the summits. And the weather gave some impressive and moody views. And yet more Victorian iron work fencing remains lead the way to Stuc a'Chroin.
- View from Ben Vorlich
What made the last walk of the week nice was a good, simple scramble up Stuc a'Chroin via Creag Chasain from the belach in between Ben Vorlich. Not difficult but nicely exposed. Then from the top of Creag Chasain a very simple walk up to the summit.
- Top of Creag Chasain looking to the summit of Stuc a'Chroin
- Stuc a'Chroin summit cairn with Ben Vorlich behind
The route back followed a well worn track down the slopes to the north of Creag Chasain and then contoured back around the side of Ben Vorlich. Its wet, boggy in places, and quite eroded and obvious and takes you back to the main well made track up to Ben Vorlich.
Best two mountains of the week
