As someone who climbed a few hills with my dad, I'm sure she really enjoys it and one of my favourite memories of spending time with the old man was sitting on top of Stob Coire Easain on a roasting hot summers day in 1997. Thats a great story you've posted and I hope you both have many more to come.

great report Mike and as many agree, well done Clare. Last time my Bex came with me to the hills, we had lots of temperature and a daughter inversion

Some great inversion shots there . A bit of clag makes the eventual clearing even more special .

I was all set for doing the Mounth 5 on sunday but was put off by the fog. Maybe I should've stuck with it and hoped for an inversion! Mind you, as I drove back from Ballater towards the Lecht I still couldn't see the top of Lochnagar. So I think I'll wait for a fine day. Lochnagar is one of my faves and I'd like to do the rest of them in clear weather. Great report though and well done Clare.

No no no you have it wrong and also right. If its foggy get as high as you can!!!!

Great report and photos.
I can't get my daughter to walk to the shops for me, let alone any sort of hill - had to get the cider myself.

Fine inversion though - out last Saturday at Beinn Ime - cloud at summit level, just blowing through -teasing me.
Plenty more days - and hills!
