A few images taken on the Badenoch Way.

This walk, along with the several wee nearby extras, is well documented on this site. Most of the sections were known to me prior to the walk being highlighted as a 'way' for journeys made on my bike. Maybe, when setting up the Ways, a bit more expentiture would allow for both walkers and bikers to be catered for. My own experiences are that there are perhaps more bikers than walkers using these ways nowadays? This may be frownd upon but I do find that some of the 'ways' are perhaps more interesting to do on the velo? e.g. the Speyside Way and the Great Glen Way. The other problem with the Badenoch Way is that the starts/finishes are a bit separate from transport links and unless you have a car at each end or have some sort of swop-over arrangement you are left a bit out on a limb. I believe that the future plans may link the BW with the Speyside Way and to have Kingussie and Newtonmore 'on the Way-boards' so I guess that should ease the transport problems? With the velo you can bike home or bike your way back to your accommodation

Leave the Daladdy holiday park at the brown gate to head downwards to the tunnel to pop out on the East side of the Railway.

You may come across some Quad biking taking place in the area up towards the Speybank gate...you hear them before seeing them...and there is room for all.

Now heading along the fine trail above the river Spey towards Kincraig village.

Don't worry if you miss this nearly hidden post a little further on there is an upwards right turn on a forest trail.

The bracken infested track joins the forest trail and a little further on a sharp turn rightwards takes you upwards towards the high ground of Creag Far Leitre....after a visit to the fine viewpoints above return to this area to continue on the 'Way'.

The growing pines will make this view more difficult to see in future....this image was taken a couple of years ago.

Most folks will stop here for this view towards the Sgorans....after head back down to the junction passed on the way up...see image no.16.

Now on one of the newly created sections of the way...prior to this there was a crushed vegetation route through the connected fire breaks to reach the same area.

Not sure much of the original Adam designed house remains after the fire...a long time back?

By this time we have passed by the back gardens of the folks living in Insh and in Inveruglass and now heading out towards Drumguish.
